Ultimately certified individuals will walk away more knowledgeable and recognizable by the public.”
The Certification Program also features keynote speakers who are recognized as leaders in the pest management industry. Gail. M. Getty, Entomologist will address current research findings as it applies to general bed bug biology, chemistry and management an infestation.  She will also cover the critical steps in successful bed bug management protocols, procedures, and business practices.  Dr. William K. Reisen is a Professor at the Center for Vectorborne Diseases. Dr. Reisen will cover the feeding habits of arthropods, how parasites/pathogens are transmitted and how vector competence is established.
“Domus Institute Bed Bug Certification, says Getty, is an important program in recognizing Pest Management Professionals who have successfully completed coursework in pesticide mode-of action, a deeper understanding of the necessary factors contributing to successful vector-borne disease transfer, and the most current research in bed bugs, the management of an infestation and new business approaches to bed bug control.”
