Follow on Google News | Internationally Touring Guitar Guru Rich Kullmann Heads to NYC for Fall Tour StopAcclaimed guitarist Rich Kullmann is heading to New York City for a one night engagement, kicking off his fall 2012 tour. Kullmann will play at ZirZamin on September 12th at 10:30pm.
"I am really excited about coming to New York, it's one of my favorite cities in the world," the Southern California-based Kullmann said. "From the food, to the diversity of cultures in such a confined area, there is no place else like it." Kullmann recently signed with Parachuting Buddha Records and was described by writer Jessica Kulick as "...a lifelong musician and guitarist, having first picked up the instrument at the age of eight. Trained at both the Musicians Institute and Berklee College of Music, Rich tailors his approach for every event, though a special intimacy is born during his more interactive performances, in which he shares stories and the meaning behind his music." "I have always loved the distinct sound of a nylon string guitar. Especially in today's world of electronic music. For me, the spanish guitar is like a much needed break on the beach from a hectic world," Kullmann said. Kullmann will have physical copies of his new CD by the time he arrives in New York. It will be the first pressing of his debut album, "Nylons and Wood." "For this project I am playing a combination of some of the worlds masterpieces of music adapted to the guitar along with some of my original compositions. I hope I do it justice," said Kullmann. Kullmann will play several more dates throughout the fall across the U.S. and Europe.
