CMAT 2013-14 Registration starts; Complete process in 4 steps

Aug. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- The AICTE CMAT exam for September-October 2012 was announced on Tuesday, July 31, 2012. The registration for the exam has started from Friday, August 3, 2012. The last date to register is Monday, September 2, 2012. If you are aiming to take the exam, you must not delay the registration process, as like CAT and NMAT, CMAT too is a computer based exam where you will have to select your date of taking the exam and give three choices of exam center.

As the CMAT 2013 September-October exam would be held in a window of five days, from Thursday, September 27 to Monday, October 1, 2012. Hence you really need to hurry up to get the date of your convenience. This article of MBAUniverse.com will describe the registration process in steps.

Before you start the registration process, you must be ready with the following as without them your registration process would not be complete.

• A photograph of 140x160 (60 kb) resolution in white background which you need to upload during the registration

• Scanned signature done on a white background. The size of the file should be 60x90 (30 kb).

• A valid Debit or Credit Card for paying online.

• A printer for taking three copies of your Challan in case you want to pay by cash at the bank.

Make sure the computer has a good Internet connection so that there is no interruption during the registration process. You must provide a valid email id and telephone number as all communication will happen through them.
Registering for CMAT is a four step process. Let us have a look at the steps:

1.You have to begin the registration process as a NEW USER. Read the instructions, accept and proceed.

2. Self Registration: You have to provide your basic details. Ensure that you put all correct information as if they are wrong you won’t be able to edit them. Click on the SUBMIT button. This will generate a six digit password for you. From now on, for logging in to the registration portal of AICTE CMAT, you will have to login through your email id and this six digit password by choosing the option of EXISTING USER. This completes your Self Registration process.

3. Payment process:  There are two modes of payment. Online and Cash Payment.

Online Payment: You can use your Credit or Debit Card or Net Banking for the payment. Once the payment is done, you will receive a confirmation email and SMS. Once you receive the confirmation of the successful registration, you can go ahead with the next step of registration.

Cash payment in Bank: You can select this option to pay by cash at any of the designated State Bank of India branch. Once you select this option and proceed, you will see a Challan on your screen with your details already filled in. You need to take three print outs of this Challan, fill in the required details and visit your nearest SBI bank branch for the cash payment and generation of Challan. Cash deposit will be accepted only from the next day of your Challan generation.

The last day to pay Cash in bank is Monday, September 3, 2012 and from there onwards to complete registration is Wednesday, September 5, 2012.

After your payment process is completed in the bank, your payment data would be updated in the registration portal. Then you need to re-login to the portal and proceed with the remaining part of the registration.

4. Now you need to fill the remaining part of the form. Before clicking on the SUBMIT button, ensure that you have filled up the form carefully and click on the PREVIEW button. This will allow you to modify the information provided by you.

Once you are sure about the accuracy of the information, click on the SUBMIT button. The system will reconfirm your submission. Once you confirm, your form will get finally SUBMITTED and no change in the data is possible after this.

You will see a message on your screen stating “Thank you for successfully registering for the AICTE CMAT September 2012 exam. Please login from 15th Sep 2012 onwards to download your exam ADMIT CARD. For latest updates, please visit www.aicte-cmat.in”. If you wish, you can PRINT your filled form and keep a copy with you for reference.
