July 29, 2012 - PRLog -- The Open Road™ QuickVu™ Wireless Backup Camera system  installs in minutes on cars and small trucks and allows drivers to see behind their vehicle while backing up or at other critical times.  Unlike so-called “wireless” cameras from competitors, the QuickVu™ camera has no wires at all, so there is no need to drill holes, route wires to the reverse lights, or splice into the vehicle’s electrical system.  Because the camera attaches with existing license plate mounting hardware, it also requires no drilling of holes in the vehicle’s bumper.   A 3.5” monitor and an accompanying receiver module mount on the dash or console.

When the vehicle is started, the camera is activated automatically in most cases.  In addition, the driver may manually activate the camera at any time, even in forward gears.  This can be handy for tasks such as parallel parking or monitoring the load on a trailer.
