Trail Ridge Technologies, LLC Announces Open Road™ QuickVu™ Truly Wireless Backup Camera
Trail Ridge Technologies, LLC today announced the Open Road™ QuickVu™ Wireless Backup Camera. This unique camera installs easily in minutes and allows drivers to see behind their vehicle while backing up or at other critical times.
The camera can be installed and used on most cars and small trucks. Regarding development of the camera system, Mitch Hanks, Vice President of Research and Development commented: “We wanted to develop a solution for people like us who want the benefit of a backup camera but don’t want to drill holes in our bumper or cut into the car’s electrical system to install it.” Although a monitor can be purchased with the system, the camera and receiver can also be purchased separately and connected to an existing monitor such as a GPS unit .
When the vehicle is started, the camera is activated automatically in most cases. In addition, the driver may manually activate the camera at any time, even in forward gears. This can be handy for tasks such as parallel parking or monitoring the load on a trailer.
The Open Road™ QuickVu™ Wireless Backup Camera is intended for use by new and experienced drivers alike who wish to increase driving visibility and safety. “We believe the QuickVu™ system is a convenient and inexpensive way to avoid backover accidents involving children, pets, or property,” says Bob Morain, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the company. “And student drivers and others often need help gauging the proximity of objects when driving in reverse.”
The QuickVu™ camera can also be used to assist in aligning a hitch to a trailer and can help reduce neck and back strain. NOTE: the Open Road™ QuickVu™ Wireless Backup Camera is intended to add to, not replace, good driving habits of walking behind the car before driving, making use of all visual assists (rearview mirrors, etc.), and using care and caution while backing.
Units are available in retail outlets and online through http://www.trulywirelessbackupcamera.com, http://www.trailridgetech.com, http://www.brilliantivity.com and other sites. Pricing is competitive with other backup and hitch cameras currently on the market, especially when comparing total installed cost. Typical camera systems require installation by a skilled professional with labor costs which can range between one and several hundred dollars. In contrast, because the QuickVu camera requires no professional installation but can be installed by the customer in a few minutes, installation costs are negligible.
