Bill Blevins Selected for Judicial Grievance Committee

July 25, 2012 - PRLog -- Bill Blevins, Lee County Market Executive for Encore National Bank, has been selected to serve on the 20th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee with The Florida Bar through June 30, 2015. A 25-year banking executive, Blevins lead the Encore commercial lending team to support area businesses with their corporate business banking and lending needs.

“I am honored to be appointed to the grievance committee, and look forward to serving on this important panel,” said Blevins. The 20th Judicial Circuit encompasses Charlotte, Hendry, Glades, Lee and Collier counties.

The grievance committee is comprised of volunteer members, at least one-third of whom are not lawyers. The committee reviews complaints with much the same purpose as a grand jury. After a case is submitted to them by bar counsel, the committee decides whether there is probable cause to believe a lawyer violated the professional conduct rules imposed by the Supreme Court of Florida and whether discipline against the lawyer appears to be warranted.
