| New EICs Named for IEEE Computer Society PublicationsThe IEEE Computer Society Board of Governors has confirmed incoming editors in chief of four transactions, three magazines, and Computing Now.
Cecilia Metra, a professor at Università di Bologna and associate editor in chief of IEEE Transactions on Computers, is the new editor in chief of Computing Now, a one- Daniel Zeng, a professor of Management Information Systems at University of Arizona, is the incoming editor in chief of IEEE Intelligent Systems. The magazine's peer- Shari Lawrence Pfleeger, director of research for the Institute for Information Infrastructure Protection at Dartmouth College, will serve as the new editor in chief of IEEE Security & Privacy. S&P provides articles with both a practical and research bent by the top thinkers in the field along with case studies, tutorials, columns, and in-depth interviews and podcasts for the information security industry. Jian Pei, professor of computing science at the School of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University in Canada, is the new editor in chief ofIEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering. Pei was previously associate editor in chief of TKDE, an monthly archival journal designed to inform researchers, developers, managers, strategic planners, users, and others interested in state-of-the- David Forsyth, a professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, will serve as editor in chief of IEEE Transactions on Pattern and Machine Intelligence, a scholarly archival journal published monthly. Forsyth was previously a member of the advisory board of TPAMI, which covers traditional areas of computer vision and image understanding, all traditional areas of pattern analysis and recognition, and selected areas of machine intelligence. The incoming editor in chief of IEEE Transactions on Services Computingis Ling Liu, a professor in the College of Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology and 2012 IEEE Computer Society Technical Achievement Award winner.
