Skype Founder joins David Drake at The Soho Loft

Mr. Gorecki’s entrepreneurial career has included working as Co-Founder of Skype. Today, as Founder and CEO of Globe Forum, he helps entrepreneurs find partners and investors that will bring their ideas to life. Mr. Gorecki has accepted a Board Advisory position with The Soho Loft and will be helping The Soho Loft Founder and CEO, David Drake spearhead The Soho Loft’s European initiatives to educate and connect with entrepreneurs and crowd funding investors globally.

David Drake, CEO of The Soho Loft a holding company of LDJ Capital, and founder of Crowd Funding Intermediary Regulatory Advocacy (CFIRA), was selected to represent the U.S. Commerce Department in Brussels July 10 and Rome July 12-13 at a two-day workshop with European Ministers.  Mr. Drake is helping shape crowd funding for global implementation and represented The Soho Loft European initiative.  This includes institutionalizing crowd funding strategies internally for fortune 1000 in every country as well as structuring hedge fund and venture capital strategies through crowd funding to create jobs in any given country.  “The JOBS Act entails many capital formation solutions for SMEs from Title I onramp IPO where firms under $1 billion in revenue have five years before they have to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley Act, compliance fees of Regulation A amendments, to Regulation D, 506 exemption which removes a 79 year old solicitation ban.  These are powerful capital formation rulings which the SEC is working with us on to undertake and create efficient new laws and processes.” say Mr. Drake.
