Des Plaines Office Equipment unveils new Sharp Whiteboard technology to Chicago market
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL, ISSUED JULY 21, 2012…Des Plaines Office Equipment (DPOE), serving the office equipment and technology needs of the Chicago community since 1955, is introducing a new technology, the Sharp Whiteboard, to their Chicago area clients.
This new, interactive, state-of-the-
art whiteboard manufactured by Sharp, is designed to provide ease of collaboration with touch-screen convenience. Its capabilities include the ability to share maps, floor plans, flow charts, X-rays and MRIs and is being viewed as a breakthrough for meeting settings of all kind. DPOE previewed the technology at a forum held at their Elk Grove Village headquarters a few months ago. The whiteboards come in screens up to 70” and are ideal for boardroom or distant conferencing. This technology is now available for demonstration at the DPOE corporate headquarters at 1020 Bonaventure Drive in Elk Grove Village.
It is believed that DPOE is the only Chicago area office products/solutions dealer to carry this whiteboard, which President Chip Miceli says will help businesses and institutions significantly leverage their conference capabilities.
“Previously, it was cutting-edge to have skype capabilities in a conference room,” said Chip Miceli, who added, “In these days of increasing travel costs, particularly with gasoline at $4 per gallon, increasing the technological advantages of remote conferencing will be seen as a significant benefit for businesses.”
