-- Columbia City, Indiana – Ultra Electronics – USSI announces today that it has received an order for the HyperSpike HS-18 from the United States Marine Corps in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
The HS-18 will be utilized by the USMC for combat outpost personnel entry and vehicle control operations within theater. Personnel using the HS-18 will have the ability to send clear intelligible voice messages to potential threats 1,500 meters away. The HS-18 is analternative tool the USMC will use in the escalation of force procedures to help communicate, determine intent, and prevent unnecessary injuries to both Marines and civilians alike.
