Daystar Television Network to be Available on Cellcast in Nigeria, Ghana

July 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Daystar Television Network announced a major development today in network expansion. Beginning August 1, Daystar will be available on Cellcast in Nigeria and Ghana, adding approximately 54 million potential viewers.

Cellcast is the provider of mobile TV for MTN, GLO and Airtel in Sub-Saharan Africa. Daystar was the only Christian television network asked to join the growing platform, which includes mainstream networks such as CNN. According to Marcus Lamb, the founder and president of Daystar, more people in Africa use smart phones to watch television than in any other region in the world.

This growth comes on the heels of Daystar’s debut on Roku last week, which added several million potential viewers. Said co-founder and vice president, Joni Lamb, “Amazing doors continue to open every day for Daystar to preach the Gospel.”

During the announcement the Lambs expressed thankfulness to God for opening doors for expansion. Marcus Lamb also shared his gratitude to donors of the non-profit network, saying, “Partners make it all possible.”
