PISA To Implement The Prosper Initiative

High Tech Community Resource Development Centers bring GreenPool© Development and Sustainability to Americans

July 16, 2012 - PRLog -- 13 July 2012 (Atlanta, GA) - In an age where many are being left behind by new economies, technology and progress, an ambitious new project promises to literally improve the quality of life for Americans by raising the skill levels, economic base, education access, affordable housing, health care, youth and child development programs in these areas.

The Prosper Initiative Strategic Alliance, PISA, is a comprised of public and private entities collaborating to provide in a turnkey format the tools to revitalize the community. PISA has designed and developed Community Resource Development Centers to administer Community Development Life Cycle programs, and facilitate building 500 strategically-placed, high-tech Community Resource Centers with strategic partners for leadership training and technical support across the United States. Their stated Goal is “to provide underserved communities with the infrastructure and maintenance of survival skills to become and remain self-sufficient in the 21st Century.” Each 30,000 square foot center will be a dramatic, high-tech resource facility that will accommodate a wide variety of community needs, e.g. Administration Offices, Family Health Centers, Credit Union, Youth Learning, Training Classrooms, Small Business Incubator, Head Start/ Day Care Center, Public Space, Commercial Kitchen and Community Hall.

With seven sites committed, ranging from rural South Carolina and upstate New York to Denton TX, Michigan, Kentucky and California, they are scheduled to engage in the Community Development Assessment process to ascertain what specific assets and resources the community has and needs. Through the CRDCs PISA and their strategic partners provide education from general to vocational to train and retrain all members of the community, e.g. Veterans, surviving families, homeless, as well as the disenfranchised, for job placement at every level in the sustainable and renewable industries.

President of the Initiative, Georgia-based, 'green' architect, Vincent I. White, states “We are ‘the People’ not the government and as such WE are addressing five issues that directly effect communities across America: Green Pool Workforce Development, Affordable Housing, Micro-Enterprise Development, Child, Youth and Family Health Care, and Education. We are taking a holistic approach to community development by offering an organic process and turnkey infrastructure to support the total needs of a community as a developer.”
As part of its National Revitalizing Rural and Urban America Initiative the Prosper Initiative will work closely with local, regional and national organizations, local and national businesses, and appropriate governmental agencies to help people of all ages become and remain self-sufficient in our ever-changing economy.
