July 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Boston MA- June 29, 2012- Exercise is the focus of New Year’s resolutions everywhere. Whether it’s for spring or summer, people want to look better. Of 4,768 people surveyed by, 30% cited this as their reason for exercising. This is good news for people who think society’s standards are falling.

Unfortunately, the survey also found that almost 50% of people don’t exercise enough (or at all), because it’s not interesting. Another 26% responded similarly, saying they just weren’t motivated enough. This means a whopping 76% of people would exercise more if it were more fun. Maybe America should make it into a game show-- who can get the most in-shape? It could have teams, drama, and a giant weight scale. Oh wait...

On the bright side, people are starting to care more about being active for one reason or another. On the other hand, it looks like until working out becomes a spectator sport, most New Year’s resolutions will remain wishful thinking.
