July 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Portland, Oregon - The Little Brown and Company, Red Knit Cap Girl by Naoko Stoop, has been awarded the 2012 Gelett Burgess Children's Book of the Year Award Honors for outstanding contributions to children’s literature.

The Gelett Burgess Children’s Book Award highlights excellence in family-friendly books covering the broad expanse of a child's existence, helping them grow socially, emotionally, ethically, intellectually, and physically.
