Power Design Employees Team Up to Save the Dunes in Annual Sea Oats Planting

July 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Employees from Tampa Bay business Power Design, Inc. headed to the beach for an annual sea oats planting event designed to help save the sand dunes in the local community. More than 5,000 wild sea oats were planted at this event organized by the City of St. Pete Beach, the Florida Aquarium and the Sirata Beach Resort.

More than 15 Power Design employees and their family members participated in the event by planting sea oats, which help replace sand lost by erosion due to storms.

“I was so excited about the idea of being able to give back to the community and help preserve a special place in such a small yet meaningful way,” said Cheryl Dwyer-Bero, Power Design employee. “The idea that within just a few hours a group of people could come together as a team to help preserve something for so many others to share for years to come is amazing.”
