First Class Concepts Learns Business Lessons From the Wimbledon Final

First Class Concepts watched on with pride as their favourite Scotsman put on an impressive display against Roger Federer in the Wimbledon 2012 final.

July 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Andy Murray might not have been able to win his first ever Wimbledon final but Glasgow-based First Class Concepts were impressed by his fighting spirit and passion as he gave Roger Federer an incredible game. More than just watching the thrilling game First Class Concepts feels that there is a great deal to be learnt from both players.

Firstly at First Class Concepts we learnt that support is everything. Throughout the two weeks of Wimbledon there wasn’t a second when the crowd wasn’t fully behind Murray. Everyone has moments when their head drops and it was without doubt the crowd that pushed him on and gave him something to fight for. Offering support and looking for support in your career is essential. Make sure you give as much as you take.

Murray’s post-match interview showed his passion. The fact that he cried shows just how much it means to him and how much he wanted it. He also managed to remain rational despite all the emotion he was feeling. However the most important thing he said was, ‘I’m getting closer'. Roger Federer is a 16 time Grand Slam winner, Murray is much earlier in his career. Each final he reaches is a real achievement and shows his progress, he’s managed to keep that in mind and that will help him to build and move forwards. In business despite set-backs, it’s important to remember the progress that we’re making and take encouragement from it.

Roger Federer’s post-match interview showed other important skills. Firstly he showed class and respect. Roger has won countless tournaments and Grand Slams but he never lets that go to his head. He shared with the crowd why he thought Andy was going to succeed in the future. Showing respect for others in business is the way to build a great relationship within and outside your company. Having a great relationship with our clients and customers is what we're about at First Class Concepts.

Federer also showed that he is as determined to win as he was at his first tournament. After breaking so many records it would be really easy to think, I’ve done enough. Particularly considering his injury and form problems recently he could easily have retired. However his competitive spirit means that he does it because he still wants it. It’s that determination that keeps helping him to win. At First Class Concepts we have that determination too. No matter what has happened in the past, whether we’ve won or lost we approach every day with the same intensity to succeed.

First Class Concepts would like to congratulate Roger Federer on winning his 7th Wimbledon Championship.
