Follow on Google News | Jennifer Foulon Heads to Kentucky Dressage ChampionshipsJennifer Foulon has successfully qualified with her mare, Little Granny, for the 2012 Adequan/FEI North American Junior & Young Rider Championships to be held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky.
By: EquiChord Productions Despite a troubling year of back surgery as well as the serious injury of her first horse, Ferrero, Foulon went on to find the 2001 Oldenburg mare Little Granny by Lacatraz and in 8 short months worked to develop their winning partnership. Although Little Granny has exceptional movement, the mare had no show experience until her first show with Foulon in September. Foulon and her current trainer, Barbara Strawson of Clarksburg, Maryland, have dedicated the time, patience, and focus necessary to overcome the recent obstacles. "I am so proud of Jennifer's hard work and perseverance. Not only did she recently team up with her new partner, Little Granny, but she has overcome several physical difficulties which resulted in back surgery. Jennifer is a wonderful example to all on how to focus on a goal and continue working toward that goal on a daily basis", said Strawson. Foulon was also one of only the top twelve horse/rider combinations to be invited to compete in the National Junior Dressage Championship at the 2012 USEF Dressage Festival of Champions on June 8-10 at the USET Foundation Headquarters in Gladstone, NJ. Foulon will be heading to Princeton University in the fall For more information, visit www.EquiChord.com. End
