First Class Concepts Understands There has been 30% Rise in New Businesses in Glasgow

June 26, 2012 - PRLog -- Glasgow entrepreneurs have smashed the previous record of 501 business start-ups by an astonishing 30%. The fact that the city of Glasgow has drawn in so much potential profit despite the difficult economic climate is a great achievement for its labour force. There has also been a great deal of encouragement from the SNP Government with many investments in projects that will help foster the business community of the city. Sandra White, an SNP representative in Glasgow has said, “We have devoted some £246million capital funding for the modernisation of Glasgow’s subway and £842 for the South Glasgow Hospitals, this is helping improve our city, making it more attractive to investors”.

First Class Concepts were also pleased to hear that according to an Ernst and Young UK Attractiveness Survey Scotland is still the most attractive place in the UK to do business. A spokesperson from First Class Concepts commented that, “Although of course new businesses should be encouraged, in this time of economic crisis there is the worry that this surprising number of start-ups will not receive the financial backing and business advice needed to maintain them”.

Currently, investment in Scottish business is not a top priority of the British government, therefore some people have argued that this provides a case in favour of an independent Scotland that can decide on its own economic and fiscal measures. However, First Class Concepts believes that in this case the debate over Scottish Independence is irrelevant and that it is more important that Scottish businesses receive the help and advice they need from both governments.

First Class Concepts hopes that the many new businesses in Scotland and Glasgow are able to remain afloat and turnover profit whilst encouraging more investment in the city.
