-- The website (http://www.HorseshoeInsider.com)
is built on the continuous delivery of news articles from outside sources and original and contributed content. The website also consists of team insights (schedules, rosters, etc.) as well as showcasing Twitter activity of those involved in the schools athletic departments. Individual readers are given the opportunity to engage with Horseshoe Insider directly through the website, by joining the mailing list, and through various social media channels.
Horseshoe Insider also provides readers the opportunity to contribute via a proprietary module called PressBox which is designed to support the creation of team-based content. PressBox provides tools to gather supporting video, imagery and source material that will allow a reader to become a contributor.
“As rabid college football fans, we saw a need to provide a one-stop destination for your team,” says FeedUSports President Jeff Jarrard. “The tools exist and with the explosion of social media the opportunity is to create thriving communities around the teams that people love.”
FeedUSports, a subsidiary of Sports Insider LLC, is centered on offering content rich websites and rapid reporting of news. Ohio State, being the first to launch, will lead the expansion throughout the Big Ten conference. FeedUSports plans to eventually launch similar sites dedicated to all Bowl Championship Series schools.
