As a victim of modern-day slavery, I have spent the best part of my life trying to end human trafficking by persons who are driven by the darkest forces of humanity - greed economics. The latest news about the human-trafficking bust in Ottawa, Canada hiding in plain sight made me spit nails. Could the victims have been saved from this evil practice? Yes, if the social media moguls step up to the plate and warn innocent "children" about the dangers that lurk under a cloak of misconception each time enter the social media sites.
Did you know that approximately $280,000.00 per year, per victim, is made by a human trafficker!

According to the United Nations, there are 27 million slaves that are known of. Do the math!

And yet, there are social media sites, who spend not one cent in trying to stop this unconscionable practice and I wonder why? Greed economics comes to mind.
What can be done to help in this fight to end this evil practice?

Set up "Beware Videos" - show news clips of human-trafficking arrests - make your customers see the danger on entering the sites. Have banners showing anti-slavery hotlines on your sites. Set up confidential reporting centers on your sites. I did it (website above) and out of my own pocket. If I took the time to save an innocent child's life from being enticed into this unconscionable practice then, why can't YOU! Greed economics come to mind! Please act now. Protect the "innocents". Don't sit back and wait for another human being to be abused. Open your fat wallet and make this world a kinder, safer place for "our" children by "highlighting" the dangers that lurk within your cyberspace walls.

Sadly, we are a culture of pervasive silence: "It is not enough to be compassionate and sympathetic. You must act."

Have the guts (spend your billions of dollars - profit made each year) to bring hope to humanity!
