St. Patrick's Cathedral adds Google Business Photos Virtual tour with Black Paw Photo

June 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Black Paw Photo, a NY/NJ based Google Trusted Photographer, creates a 360 degree virtual tour of St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC with Google's New Business Photos Service.  Black Paw Photo is a Certified Google Trusted Photographer that has been providing Google Business Photos in New York and New Jersey since Google launched the program this January.  St. Patrick's Cathedral, a famous New York City landmark, elected to have Google Business Photos taken of their location to help bring awareness to their current restoration effort and to allow people from around the world to take a look inside their beautiful Cathedral.

Google Business Photos includes a 360 Degree Interactive Virtual Tour and a set of professional still images of St. Patrick's Cathedral.  The virtual tour and images provided by Black Paw Photo are served directly by Google and visible on Google Maps, Google Search, and new Google + Local Pages (formerly Google Places).  The Virtual Tour feature is the highlight of Google Business Photos, and allows internet visitors to take a virtual walk through St. Patrick's Cathedral to see all of the beautiful architecture and stone work as well as parts of the restoration effort.  In addition, the virtual tour may easily be embedded on any website by copying and pasting Google's embed code.  Google Business Photos offers internet users a way to look inside St. Patrick's Cathedral in a way that has never before been possible.

St. Patrick's Cathedral's Communications Manager added Google Business Photos to help in raising awareness for the current restoration effort by allowing the public to get a closer look at the architecture and artwork than make up the interior of the Cathedral.  The restoration of St. Patrick’s Cathedral is a historic event and is directed to and managed by the St. Patrick’s Cathedral Landmark Foundation, a new 501(c)(3) established specifically for the purpose of preserving and maintaining St. Patrick’s Cathedral.  The Google Business Photos Virtual Tour provided by Black Paw Photo gives web visitors an intimate look inside St. Patrick's Cathedral and allows them to walk around and explore the 360 degree views on their own without leaving their computers.
