iGlobalWellness supports new Games4Life initiative

June 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Games4Life is an initiative launched under the Change4Life banner.  In 2012, the year London hosts the Olympic Games, Change4Life is running the Games4Life initiative which aims to make England the most active host nation ever and to get more people to be more active during this summer and beyond.

iGlobalWellness shares these aims and values and has been encouraging people to get active and stay active since the company was founded.   iGlobalWellness has specifically launched a new programme to kick-start the summer of 2012, The Activity 4 All Challenge 2012 and is using this new activity to pledge support of the Games4Life initiative.

This very special event starts on 27th July, the same day as the London 2012 opening ceremony, and runs for 11 weeks. Organisations from across the country are invited to enter teams of employees into the Challenge to compete for the title of The Most Active Organisation 2012.  This special event is a unique competition.  Using the exclusive iGlobalWellness activity monitor, teams will compete to increase their activity levels as much as they can for the duration of the challenge.  Whatever your current level of health and fitness, the Challenge is perfect for you – everybody can get involved!

Organisations that have already signed up to take part include: Deloitte, Panasonic, University of Sheffield, Health at Home, Channel Islands Coop, First Group, A&N Media, Pennaf and Gwynedd Council.  The winning teams and organisation will be awarded prizes and congratulated personally by David Moorcroft, iGlobalWellness Chairman and former Olympic athlete at a 2012 medal ceremony.
