Now is the time to consider how health and wellness programmes can be enhanced to support employees and assist business in combating the effects of sickness and absence.

The benefits of a well-rounded corporate health and wellness programme successfully delivered are undeniable. Looking after the physical, emotional and mental health of employees can reduce sickness and absenteeism, decrease staff turnover, improve productivity and increase employee engagement, morale and motivation.

iGlobalWellness' Stay Active Challenge is a corporate health and wellness programme that achieves positive results for companies of all sizes. Statistics from the programme demonstrate the health benefits to employees and illustrate the positive impact to the business.

73% of participants reported an improved ability to manage stress

77% of participants reported an improvement in their health

63% of participants reported an increase in their feelings of enjoyment working at their organisation

64% of participants reported they have been more productive at work

Planning for Wellness in 2013 means co-ordinating a comprehensive programme that kicks-off with a bang. With two start dates in the New Year, Friday 11th January and Friday 25th January, the Stay Active Challenge can provide a fantastic start to your 2013 wellness activities.

The Stay Active Challenge is an eleven week, competitive team event. Teams of 5 are challenged to increase their daily activity levels as much as possible and the team with the biggest increase wins! Any activity big or small counts towards gaining SAC points and achieving success, from walking to work to taking part in a marathon.

Participants use the iAM, a revolutionary wireless activity monitor which measures speed and intensity of movement, combined with calorie burn and metabolic information. As the iAM measures all movement, not simply steps, it is a revolutionary tool which inspires participants to incorporate a wide range of activity into their daily routine, making the Stay Active Challenge a unique and personal programme.
