New UK-US Data Partnership Bolsters Customer Relationship Management

UK data quality company DQ Global is now partnering US data services company Datasentials to provide software for its Dynamics CRM Data Cleansing platform. Recognising that its clients were anxious about the state of the data they were to import into their pristine Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, but did not always need new permanent data cleansing software, Datasentials scoured the market for a solution.

Making it Safe to Import Data

The resulting negotiations have formed a partnership in which DQ Global data cleansing products are rented to Datasentials’ clients for a specific time, and they don’t have to have an ongoing licence for its use. The data which is migrated can then be checked for accuracy and consistency before it is incorporated into the system’s database.

The software finds and removes duplicates, offers geocoding for accurate latitude and longitude, and address verification using USPS Zip+4 technology from the US postal service. All data is scrubbed and thoroughly cleaned, with its integrity preserved, before being merged. Datasentials will also make the data cleansing software available monthly after that, so its clients have the option to guard against errors creeping into their data.

The Home Cleaning Analogy

Martin Doyle, CEO of DQ Global, likened the process to getting a new home sparkling clean before you move in, and then having the opportunity for a cleaner to come by again every month to spruce it up.

The Importance of Quality Data

CRM depends on quality data in which the customer records are consistent and kept up to date and have correct and complete addresses.
