May 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Jack O'Leary is a musician, artist, author and music therapist  born in Ireland and now living on the east coast of Australia.Jack has completed the first two books in a series of musical social stories developed to educate and prepare children for everyday live events. The idea for the series  grew from Jack's observations while working as a music therapist with young children.Music and song have the  ability to transform and encourage children to interact and learn while also providing joy and confidence. Linking the music and song with colourful, vibrant and warm central characters 'Bo Bo and Be Be' provide fun and familiarity to everyday learning.

Jack has created a  partnership with animators, designers and musicians which has resulted in the wonderful innovative sing into life series.The books combined with a musical 'sing a long' CD give children a learning and fund filled experience.The feedback received has been positive with parents and teachers as well as therapist finding the books an innovative and  invaluable resource. There is so much planned for the series with the ultimate aim of providing comfort and confidence for children in everyday life scenarios. Look out for our next release 'Sing to the Dentist'.

Sing into Life is a series of musical social stories developed by Music and Occupational Therapists that aim to help children on their journey through daily life. Social stories are a powerful means of promoting social, emotional and communication skills for all children, in particular young children and those who have varying degrees of ability.The books utilize a central character to support and enhance the connection. Bo Jingles will help children to participate in everyday activities that they might find challenging or difficult to understand such as going to school or a trip to the dentist. The aim of the series is to develop the child's independence, confidence and self esteem .

The books are adaptable can be used in a number of ways and in a variety of settings: they can be read aloud by an the adult, following the story  in conjunction with the music CD, or the music and song  can be listened to among a  groups of children.

Most importantly, these books provide opportunities for the parent/caregiver to interact in an interactive and fund manner with the child and move with them through these various experiences.
