-- Kansas City, Missouri – May 18, 2012 – Townsend Communications, Inc. will relaunch its College Outlook Magazine as MyMajors College Outlook Magazine. The fall 2012 issue will see a complete redesign in format including content that more closely aligns with the company’s comprehensive college major website - MyMajors.com.
Distributed nationwide and read by more than 3 million high school juniors and seniors, the complimentary magazine will offer enhanced educational resources on finding a major, college, career and scholarships. The new format will integrate print, online and mobile resources with student worksheets and online lesson plans to help students discover and focus their strengths to plan, enroll and graduate from college.
Each department within the magazine: "Find a Major," "Find a College," "Find a Career," and "Find Scholarships"
will include student testimonials, online videos, lists of the top majors and careers as well as student blogs, how-to sections and lesson plans. Worksheets within the magazine will link to online exploratory lesson plans that students will access and download from MyMajors website. The award winning MyMajors mobile app is integrated into the student activities to allow real time engagement and create additional interest.
College Outlook Magazine was first published in 1973 to provide information to students about the college admissions process. It has served more than 900 colleges and universities in recruiting best-fit student applicants.
