Follow on Google News | Flexible casing provides solution in luxury Jersey apartmentsDecorative Circa column casings from Encasement are being used to conceal structural support columns at Castle Quay, a stunning new development of outstanding luxury apartments at St Helier, Jersey.
By: Encasement Ltd Being developed in two phases, the multi-million project comprises in total almost 600 luxury residential properties – predominantly one and two-bedroom apartments – with restaurants, shops and other retail outlets. Encasement provided 44 preformed plywood column casings to the main contractor Dandara. Structural columns inside the apartments are concealed by the 300mm diameter, 8mm thick casings, finished in plain plywood which are painted on site after installation. The n-case Circa range provides a simple, quick and cost-effective way to enclose structural steel columns. The casings are durable and resistant to damage. They can be supplied in plain, laminate or real wood veneer. Designed by the acclaimed architect Eric Kuhne, this inspirational development is set to become one of the world’s finest maritime destinations – offering international cuisine, shopping in stylish stores, innovative workspaces and leisure opportunities throughout the year. Encasement Managing Director Martin Taylor said: “Castle Quay is one of the stand-out developments of our generation. This is an exciting opportunity for us and is one of several high-profile residential projects that we have been involved in.” “Living spaces within the apartments all feature a high-quality contemporary specification. For that reason alone it is satisfying to be approached to supply materials that have the flexibility of design and finish to match even the most demanding specification requirements.” End
