By: Small World Inc Excerpt from Small Stories Dedication; “For Kenora. It is said that every author has a love/hate relationship with their hometown. This couldn’t be more true for me. Kenora gave me many amazing opportunities and lessons, but at the same time it gave me a reason to run away… … For everyone from a small rural town, you can’t wait to leave, but something will hurt when you stop calling it home.” Originally from Kenora Ontario, David Small has coached ice hockey around the world, most recently serving as the head coach for a men’s professional team in Poland. David served as the Director of Hockey for Team Canada West and East during the 2010 World Junior A Challenge, and has assisted the scouting departments for the LA Kings and Columbus BlueJackets. David has given lectures and presentations at conferences, camps, and schools all around the world, notably at the 2006 IIHF World Championships in Riga, Latvia, and as a guest lecture for an English university in Finland. David is currently writing his second book, a non-fiction book about leadership in sports. In 2012 David launched Small World Inc.
