May 15, 2012 - PRLog -- All around the world people are saying the same thing “I can’t go throughout the day without my coffee”. Coffee has become a staple and a bit of a powerful entity for people who love caffeine. Home coffee makers have evolved over the years, but the simplicity of brewing coffee has remained the same.

When considering the best coffee maker for your home there are a few things you what to look at such as features, brewer and amount per brew. Coffee makers may range from $20 to $200, although they all follow the same basic concept of brewing coffee. Pour hot water over ground coffee which then filters into some form of decanter.

There are essentially four different types of home coffee brewers: drip brewers, pod brewers, thermal carafe brewers and hourglass brewers. Drips brewers are the most common type of coffee machines found on the market. Drip brewer work by pour water, preferably cool water, into the top of the machine while the machine generates hot water that drips into a filter filled with coffee, and then is dispensed into a glass decanter which sits on top of a warmer.

Thermal brewers work essentially the same way. Instead of sitting on a warming plate to keep the coffee warm the coffee is dispensed into a thermal carafe which not only keeps coffee warm but preserves both aroma and flavor. Thermal carafe also is more durable than glass decanter as well.

With chemex hourglass brewer you insert a filter filled with coffee into the thin part of the hourglass and pour hot water into it. The water needs to be heated on the stove or in microwave to ensure the coffee is brewed correctly.
Pod brewers are the new wave of home coffee machines. It allows you to brew single cups of coffee instead of a whole decanter. Pod brewers are slightly more expensive, but there is no mess and gives you the convenience of brewing different flavors of coffee for each individual.

Features on your home coffee machine may include but are not limited to automatic programming which allows you to set a brewing time which brews the coffee without you being there. Stop and serve, automatic shutdown, and water filtration are some of the other feature you can find.

You can find a generous selection of coffee machines at your local retail store. If you are searching for a larger selection of machines to choose from visit the information super highway for various websites offering an array of different coffee machines for your home.
