There will be over 80 music artists performing on 7 stages the week before Bonnaroo, one of the largest and most successful music and arts festivals in the world. Music Tree was designed to provide value to local businesses, residents, and visitors to the Manchester area. No tickets are required because the event is free for everyone who attends. “The goal from a creative standpoint was to offer a diverse lineup and I feel that's been accomplished,” Music Tree is an ambitious effort to help forge a marketable identity for Manchester according to Chip Ramsey, owner and operator of The Saturday Independent. “Our ultimate goal is to create an industry around that industry that placed Manchester on the map as a musical destination for both artists and fans year-round, not just during Bonnaroo. This is a huge win-win for our community, its businesses, and the artists crisscrossing the country pursuing their musical dream.” Ryan French, a Manchester Alderman and festival organizer agrees that Music Tree will enhance Manchester’s identity and revenue base. “As an elected official, it’s exciting to showcase our community, its talent, and its potential. We have a great group of venues that will not only see increased foot traffic, but will delight our guests with great customer service and southern hospitality. For the entire week guests of our city are camping and hanging out in hotel rooms, why not come out and have a little fun?" Music Tree is sponsored by Miller Light, Activate water, Mid-South Distributing, Walgreens, Middle Tennessee Music, and The Saturday Independent. Venues include Two Purple Pigs, 41 South Bar and Grill, Family Music Center, The Brew, The Coffee Café, and Rotary Park Amphitheater. Transportation between venues will be provided for a nominal fee.
