Mother Goose Project App on Kickstarter set to shake up an industry by releasing the app source code

May 9, 2012 - PRLog -- The Mother Goose Project is the first project to change the way we see, read and listen to children's books by combining vivid moving art, voice narration, and the words of many classic stories, presented in old world calligraphy.  This project created by Brian Nelson a professional app developer from Scottsdale, AZ, also seeks to help aspiring developers through a two-hour video and the complete source code for the project to contributors on Kickstarter.com.  Releasing the source code is a first of any project of this type and will help new developers see all of the pieces that make up an app before it gets downloaded to their device.

The Mother Goose Project's funding will come from Kickstarter.com the world's largest platform for funding creative projects.  According to Brian Nelson "Releasing the source code to the people who helped fund the project is the right thing to do, and will give new developers an opportunity to fund and learn from a great project."

The look of the finished app will be based on an old aged book with hand written calligraphy.  The idea is to re-create the experience of being in the audience listening to a professional storyteller.  The app will have pictures that come to life and voice narration, which can be turned off if the child would like to read the book on their own.
