DoItTennis to Offer Babolat SFX Tennis Shoes in Spring 2012 Lineup
The new line of Babolat tennis shoes released this year has an emphasis on comfort and fit, designed specifically for the serious tennis player.
DoItTennis announced that it would start offering the SFX line of Babolat tennis shoes in its online store for its Spring 2012 lineup. The SFX initials stand for Super Fit eXperience and define the philosophy of the shoe's design: to provide a good fit and superior overall comfort. It is designed to address the quick lateral movements and the repeated stopping and starting that many tennis players experience while they play.
“We are excited to add the SFX to our Babolat tennis shoe lineup,” said Hans Paino, president of DoItTennis, “the company makes quality footwear. There should be a lot of interest with summer approaching and with the Slam events coming up.”
One aspect of the shoe's design that stands out is the large toe box. As part of the SFX philosophy on comfort, this feature allows feet to move more freely for added comfort.
The upper is made of Babolat's proprietary S-Shield material and has numerous openings to provide ventilation to keep feet cool and dry. One of the most common problems tennis players face are the various types of discomfort that come with foot perspiration, especially when competing in several matches in a day, which the S-Shield design should alleviate. It also provides better durability and is more resistant to wear and tear. A heel counter made of shear resistant TPU adds support and the stitchless tongue/vamp adds better forefoot flexibility.
Ergo-Motion technology can be found in both the insole and midsole of the shoe. One of the best features of Ergo-Motion is that is adapts to each individual player's foot characteristics for a custom fit. It is also well cushioned and has superior stability. There are pressure points made of Revax and EVA to provide better comfort in these high stress areas. It has a 3D shank to help with lateral movement and the well established Kompressor technology in the heel for shock absorbing cushioning.
Durability is another important feature of the shoe's design. The outer is made of high quality Michelin rubber and comes with a six month warranty. Michelin has earned a reputation for providing the automotive market with the highest quality of car tires for decades. They have taken this same expertise and applied it to the construction of the outsoles of Babolat tennis shoes.
The shoes are available for both men and women. Men's models are available in blue/black/silver and white/blue/silver color schemes while the women's is available in a white/silver color scheme. The retail price is $99.00.
Those who need comfort, a better fir and stability in their footwear will like the SFX, which continues the trend of innovative design found in Babolat tennis shoes. It is also well-equipped to deal with the repeated stop-and-go and lateral movements that come with playing competitive tennis.
