By: A & R Select Jim Platt is proud to announce the release of two new singles “The Horizon” and “Phases” which are on his yet to be released EP titled “Moving Through The Ages” which is set for release in the summer of 2012. “The Horizons” is about happy love that is blissfully unaware of the rocky road ahead. Played with acoustic guitar and with limited instrumental involvement, you can hear the crisp vocals and the guitar as it speaks. This song is upbeat and uplifting with great harmonies. “The Phases” is about parts of the artist’s life that has come and gone. This song has more of an electro/reverb sound to it, which gives it a unique sound and texture. Its familiar sound is wonderful to hear in this day and age. You smile when you listen to this as it brings a sense of peace and remembrance into your soul. Other singles on this EP also stand out such as “Drama Queen” that delivers more of an edgy feel to it. Others such as “All Alone in My Dreams” are a Lennon-esc type song typical to his writing style. Therefore, you have an array of songs and sounds that are filled with memory driven sounds with current styles fused in. Jim Platt took this forum and ran with it. He has succeeded to fill the airwaves with glorious music once again. Prior to the release of these two singles, Jim released two demos; one with “Autumn Lane” called “Reflections” Jim Platt is looking forward to promoting his upcoming EP. He is also planning a trip to New York City as soon as possible. “I’m a songwriter/singer (as Noel Gallagher puts it). I feel my writing is more than my singing. I write what I believe and feel with a strong Lennon influence. All I look for is a chance to get myself heard. I love to hear from fans and their thoughts. Makes me a stronger musician, but I feel any of my songs can be put up there with music of today.” You can listen to and/or purchase Jim Platt’s songs by logging onto the following websites: www.myspace.com/ www.promofm.com (Search: Jim Platt) Jim Platt is currently working with A & R Select based in Beverly Hills, Ca. for licensing, publishing, a record deal and/or placement opportunities.
