Balance Interactive to Develop Drupal Website for NGAUS

May 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Balance Interactive will work with the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) on a full redesign of the organization’s website. The site will use the Drupal open source content management system.

“We are excited to be working with Balance Interactive on this project,” said retired Maj. Gen. Gus L. Hargett Jr, the NGAUS president. “This partnership greatly enhances our association’s ability to communicate with its widespread membership and the entire National Guard community.”

The new website will be on Drupal 7 and will include a single sign on with the association’s membership database. The project will include usability testing, content and engagement strategy, visual design, a campaign/event tracking module, and a dynamic map to show state National Guard associations. Balance Interactive will write and edit the top pages, and transfer all existing website content into the new system.  The project will also integrate several tools for a seamless user experience.

NGAUS, the nation’s oldest military association, is located in Washington, D.C. It was formed by militia officers in 1878 to obtain better equipment and training by petitioning Congress for more resources. Today, with a membership of 45,000 Army and Air Guard officers, the militia is known as the National Guard, but NGAUS has the same mission.
