Chesterford Research Park enhances on-site connectivity with installation of fibre network

April 24, 2012 - PRLog -- In recent months the Park team at Chesterford have been working closely with Bridge Partners, a Cambridge-based information and communications technology (ICT) support services company, to assess and ultimately enhance connectivity services available to all tenants at the Park.

The installation of an on-site fibre network, which provides cost effective, unmetered, high speed internet connectivity and IP telephony as well as access to other hosted solutions is now complete and available to tenants.  The internet services have been designed specifically to fit the requirements of the types of organisations based at Chesterford where fast and efficient exchange of information is critical.  The new service provides the same upload and download bandwidth - the ideal choice for business use.  

Backed by carrier-grade transit through Bridge Partners’ collaboration with Cogent, Goscomb and Telstra the connectivity services now available are reliable, robust and highly efficient with up to and over 1000Mbps of bandwidth available if required.

To date Cellcentric, Medivir, Isogenica, Knowledge Genes and Oxford Nanopore have already signed up to the service and it is expected that a number of other tenants will follow suit in the next few months.
