Follow on Google News | Chesterford Research Park's sporting spirit raises £770 for Sports ReliefThe Park team and tenants at Chesterford Research Park put their best feet forward on Friday to do their bit for Sports Relief.
By: Sarah Brereton, Limewash Media & Design Ltd The Park catering team also joined in the fun, providing post-race light refreshments outside The Nucleus central facilities building and selling ginger bread Sports Relief characters in The Nucleus restaurant. Additional money was also raised via donation buckets situated at the Park entrance and exit. Park Manager Katherine Maguire commented: “Both the Park team and our tenants made a huge effort to raise funds for Sports Relief this year and it was fantastic to see so many participants from our tenant companies coming out to join the Park team for the mile race. We work hard to foster a lively and friendly community spirit at Chesterford and it is on occasions like this that we really reap the rewards. Thank you to all our tenants who took part and gave so generously for this very worthy cause.” Team members from Security, Catering, Maintenance and the Gym all took part to help raise a grand total of £770.00. # # # Chesterford Research Park is being developed as a 250 acre low density scheme to provide high quality accommodation in an attractive environment for science and technology based companies of all sizes. To date, more than 240,000 sq ft of laboratory and R&D space has been let and occupied. Further phases of construction will extend the development to approximately 600,000 sq ft (56,500 sq m). The park is being developed as a joint venture between Aviva Investors and The Churchmanor Estates Company Plc. End
