Michael J. Detro Joins the Business and Finance Group in the Phoenix Office of Snell & Wilmer

April 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce it has added Michael J. Detro to the business and finance group as an associate in the Phoenix office. Mr. Detro was a Snell & Wilmer legal intern in 2008.

Mr. Detro’s previous experience as an attorney includes representing private and public entities in mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, recapitalizations, corporate governance and other corporate services, licensing and intellectual property matters within hospitality/food service, finance, technology, health care, insurance and consumer product industries. Prior to that, Mr. Detro was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Lawrence Winthrop and Patrick Irvine at the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One.

Mr. Detro is on the leadership council for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix, a speaker and volunteer for the Arizona State University Business Legal Assistance Program and has been a mentor team member for startup and emerging growth companies at the Invest Southwest Conference. He received his J.D., cum laude, from California Western School of Law where he earned two Academic Achievement Awards: Legal Skills II and Negotiation. He was also a Dean’s List recipient and received honors distinction for his paper, “Economic Impact of Dram Shop and Alcohol Laws.” Mr. Detro received his B.A. from University of San Diego where he was a five time Dean’s List recipient. At the University of San Diego, he was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the social chairman for Lambda Chi Alpha.
