| VR Holdings Secures DTC EligibilityVR Holdings, Inc., , announced that it has secured DTC Eligibility by The Depository Trust Company for its shares on the OTC Bulletin Board effective April 18, 2012.
By: Martin Cohn The Depository Trust Company (DTC) is a subsidiary of the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation DTCC, and manages the electronic clearing and settlement of publicly traded company stocks and other securities. Securities that are eligible to be electronically cleared and settled through the DTC are considered "DTC eligible." This electronic method of clearing securities speeds up the receipt of stock and cash, and thus accelerates the settlement process for investors. “We are pleased to announce that we have obtained DTC eligibility,” About VR Holdings, Inc.: In addition to the recent acquisition of Litigation Dynamics, Inc., an e-discovery company, VR Holdings is, it believes, the only US corporation to go public with its major asset being a claim in a lawsuit. The Cancer Foundation, Inc., a 501(C)3 charity and large claimant planned to donate $75 million of its VRHD.OB holdings to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland for pancreatic cancer research. It investigated why funds were not forthcoming, and discovered that there were other claimants, mostly senior citizens, that were also damaged by the actions of two lenders to several VRH subsidiaries. The company alleges that the Chief Financial Officer of one of the VRH subsidiaries admitted to being bribed by the lenders. The Foundation with 22 other plaintiffs commenced litigation against the lenders in 1997, which is now in Illinois State Court. VRH's registration statement describes the opportunity for claimants to exchange their claims for VRH stock, which the Cancer Foundation did.
