I-B-H Presents an Innovative Device for the Purification of Drinking Water

The company I-B-H Technology is committed to the provision of purified water in a trend-setting way by the use of modern technology. At the Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva, I-B-H will display and present a new device - Helion 45.

April 17, 2012 - PRLog -- A report on the global water availability published this year showed that 900 million people worldwide do not have access to clean drinking water. Annually, 1.5 million people die from the effects of contaminated water. I-B-H Technology decided to dedicate itself to this problem and its possible alleviations. Already 35 years ago, this company, at that time based in Switzerland, conducted research on the preparation of drinking water and developed technologies to improve the quality of potable water. The founder and head of technology of I-B-H Technology is the engineer Heinz Hartig. He is also the originator of the Helion 45, the most recent development of the company.

Helion 45 is a device for the decontamination and purification of water. The heart of the device is a reactor with a UV-radiation unit. The source of the UV- radiation is encased by four pipes, through which the impure water is swirled. To reach effective decontamination, energy-intense vacuum-UV-radiation is used in addition to the natural UVC-radiation. This results in the elimination, or highly significant reduction (up to 99,999999 %), of fungi, bacteria, pesticides, hormones, pharmaceutical residues, and virus, e.g. the bird flu and HIV virus. Only a very small amount of semi-finished products are produced by photo-oxidation, and the only residues are water and carbon dioxide. Essential trace elements and minerals are, conversely, retained. A further positive effect is that the static pressure produced by the device breaks down molecular clusters, which leads to a vitalisation of the water and reinstates its natural properties of solubility.

To operate the Helion 45, an electric connection, a pump, a water tank and a control unit are needed. The Helion 45 can purify up to 9 litres per minute. „The device is characterised by its high efficiency“, inventor Hartig explains. He patented and obtained the product certification for the Helion 45. „We have developed a product that not only scores with its leading-edge technology and low cost, but also by its low energy consumption and minimal space requirements.“ At the 40th international exhibition for inventions in Geneva, Hartig will present the Helion 45 to the public for the first time in history. Between the 18th and 22nd of April 2012 interested parties can discuss the functionality of the device in person with the inventor, and inform themselves about the wide range of applications it can be used for.

Helion 45 has been developed for the international market. The production of decontaminated drinking water for private households or for agriculture are only some of its applications. Hartig, however, does not see any restrictions in the possible application fields, which include the soft-drink and alcohol industry, cosmetics industry, for the production of electronic components, in dental surgeries, hospitals and clinics, in the pharmaceutical industry, food production, hotel- and gastronomy etc.
