Representative Judy Chu Visits Foothill Vocational Opportunities Inc.

April 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Pasadena, CA – On April 6, 2012 US Congresswoman Judy Chu (CA-32) toured Foothill Vocational Opportunities Inc. to learn about the benefits and opportunities made available to people with significant disabilities working there, producing among other things, high quality paper punches. During the site visit Congresswoman Chu met with employees such as James Breshears, to talk about support for the AbilityOne® Program and what the program has meant to him and his peers personally.

“We were so pleased to host Congresswoman Chu at our facility,” stated Bill Murphy, CEO of Foothill Vocational Opportunities Inc., “It was a wonderful opportunity for us to share information about our program with her.”

Congresswoman Chu also found the visit to be helpful: “I am proud that our office uses the high quality paper punches produced at the Foothill Vocational Opportunities AbilityOne® program right here in the San Gabriel Valley.
This program supports over one hundred individuals with significant disabilities and is the largest employer in Northwest Pasadena. Please join me in saluting the quality work done by these AbilityOne® employees”
