FVO Solutions Looks Ahead to National Disability Employment Awareness Month

Sept. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Pasadena, CA – It is truly a meaningful coincidence that FVO Solutions, Inc. - formerly Foothill Vocational Opportunities - is celebrating its new name with a wine and cheese “Reveal” just days before the October 1st beginning of National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
FVO Solutions has helped San Gabriel Valley residents who have disabilities and other barriers to employment find their place in the work world for nearly 50 years.
FVO Solutions is a nonprofit social enterprise that uses the power of the marketplace to create jobs. FVO Solutions’ CEO Bill Murphy notes that their approach is rooted in the philosophy that the good things in life come to those people who hold valued roles in society and employment is a life-changing valued role. FVO Solutions believes that the high rates of unemployment for people who have disabilities are unacceptable. These numbers hover at 70% nationally.
On September 26, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. FVO Solutions unveils their new building signs. Cynthia Kurtz of the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership will be on hand to say a few words, and local politicians will also be there. Entertainment will be provided by Omar Cabral of the band Head Lite View.
