The new Control & Dispatch Module already in the market

April 11, 2012 - PRLog -- JULY 2010 — Madrid, SPAIN. GOAL SYSTEMS launches its new Control & Dispatch Module for metropolitan and intercity bus operating companies. This tool responds to the need expressed by many clients of a tool covering their daily operation needs. There was a strong demand for an agile tool which could be used by operations staff during their day-to-day work.

The new module of Control & Dispatch is perfectly integrated with GoalBus® and GoalDriver®, our solutions for the optimization of timetables, bus blocking and run-cutting in metro transit and long-haul bus operating companies, providing the functionality these companies had been asking for.

The main technical features are:

— Multiuser and multisession: several concurrent users, each one being able to work with a different set of
   resources.
— Web-application: this control application, unlike the usual computing applications, does not need a powerful
   computation platform, thus we have chosen state-of-the-art Silverlight web technology, allowing employees
   to access information from any web connected device like PDAs.
— Automatic integration: automatic integration with GoalBus® and GoalDriver® solutions (all versions).

The main functional features are:

— Bus Control: bus allocation, status updates and run distance monitoring in order to plan vehicles
   maintenance.
— Drivers Control: driver allocation and status updates
— Events Control: allows modifying, creating, deleting, etc, all type of events so that is very simple to add
   new trips or delete trips automatically freeing the involved resources.
— Warnings Control: the system warns us on how changes will affect the overall schedule.
— Statistics: comparing the planned scenario with the actual one provides a powerful tool to know why
   deviations do occur.
— Multi-filter: it allows looking for resources or events by any attribute.
— Customized: it allows the user to keep his preferences for data consultation. For instance, if a dispatcher
   manages only a depot he won’t see data relating to other depots.
