By: Joshua Steinfeld Working under the theme “Tried and True: Old versus New,” retired chefs will prepare their classic hor d’oeuvres and desserts and battle, head-to-head, against the contemporary treats prepared by the newer chefs. The evening’s featured culinary stars include: Hank Trujillo (retired) - BROADMOOR Nathan Saye (current) – MARRIOTT Tyler Peoples (current) – BRIARHURST Patrick Robinson (retired) – STEAKSMITH The event is free to attend and benefits Rocky Mountain PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) - donations are encouraged. Seating is limited, so everyone looking to tempt their taste buds with top-notch, local cuisine, while supporting a great cause, should reserve their spot at the Chef Showdown now. The program works to help frail elderly people maintain their highest level of independence by developing programs for individuals with complex medical needs that require more intensive care coordination than traditional home and community-based programs.
