March 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Mattel, the company behind the popular Monster High dolls, and the Egmont Publishing Group have joined forces to create a magazine based on the brand. Currently Egmont have many magazines for girls aged seven to twelve in their portfolio including We Love Pop and Barbie.

Every issue of the new magazine will have a cover-mount and the first edition will have a bracelet which is ‘dead stylish’. The magazine will also have features that cover areas such as friendships, being in school and of course fashion and style.

Monster High dolls are now so well loved that they are second only to Barbie in terms of sales with more than five million dolls being sold, with the dolls seen at http://monsterhighdolls.net

Debbie Cook who is the Director of Magazines from Egmont UK has told reporters that “Monster High is a bona fide phenomenon and we are extremely excited to welcome this leading girl’s brand into our portfolio. Our partnership with Mattel reaffirms Egmont’s position as the ideal magazine partner for brands looking to communicate with the pre-teen audience.”

Mattel believe that working with a company such as Egmont will help them to engage consumers with the Monster High brand even further, giving fans the opportunity to have even more touch points with their favourite dolls. Operetta is currently one of newest dolls available:

The characters in the Monster High series, which also has its own website featuring ‘webisodes’ of specially created Monster High cartoons, include Frankie Stein the daughter of Dr Frankestein, Cleo de Nile the daughter of the Mummy and Clawdeen Wolf who is the daughter of the Werewolves. All of the characters were created to show that you do not have to be perfect to be happy and get on at school.

The Monster High magazine will be on the shelves in the UK from the 4th April and it will cost £2.99.
