TREK-753 Mobile Data Terminal Honored with Taiwan Excellence 2012 Award

Last year, the innovative TREK-550 in-vehicle computing box was honored, winning the “Taiwan Excellence Award 2011.” Advantech-DLoG received the award for its outstanding mobile data terminal from among 1,145 products that were submitted in the year’s competition. TREK-753 is an ideal choice for long haul trucking, fuel-tanker trucks, ambulances, fire trucks, and heavy duty vehicle applications. The award-winning TREK-753 mobile data terminal features an Intel® Atom™ Z510PT/Z520PT processor, with an industrial-grade chassis which is built to survive the harshest environments. It can operate at a range of -30° C to 60° C; it is IP54 compliant, and has an optional I/O cover. TREK-753 also supports built-in RF modules including GPS with an AGPS feature, GPRS/CDMA/HSDPA, WLAN 802.11a/b/g/n & Bluetooth. The wireless communication options allow TREK-753 to share data with a central site.

TREK-753 is ISO7637, SAE J1455, and SAE J1113 rated; it is able to operate in extreme temperatures and transient power conditions; and it can endure shocks and vibrations. It has an EN 60721-3-5 certification, and its sealed unit meets military grade standards (MIL-STD-810G, Method 516.5) against vibration and shock. TREK-753 has a CAN-bus interface that can be hooked up to a vehicle network and can retrieve vehicle data, such as engine status, fuel level, fan, sensors, and so on. Paired with navigation, statistical, and monitoring software, it meets fleet management requirements, saves fuel, aids dispatchers and helps resource management.
