Meerut:  After unparalleled success of Brooke Bond Taaza’s special initiative, Taaza Pehchaan Manch, that aims to celebrate the talents of housewives and empowers women across Uttar Pradesh, in the two cities of Etawah & Varanasi last year, the first Taaza Pehchaan Manch for the year 2012 was held in Meerut today. The event witnessed more than 1800 Women participants from Meerut & neighboring districts. The huge display of over artifacts made by various women across the city was a visual delight and showcased highest levels of creativity. Apart from the vast display of beautiful creations made by the women, the other activities at the event were divided in four main categories namely Handicraft, knitting & stitching, painting and cookery. The women of Meerut showed their beautiful skills which surprised the judges and The Chief Guest, Mrs. Pankaj Bhadouria, winner of Master Chef India 2010. She was also the Chief Guest at the previous two events in Etawah & Varanasi. Pankaj was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the participants and encouraged the deserving candidates to take their talent to a higher level.

In order to aid the women to professionalize their skills, the event also boasted support from leading NGOs like Rotary Club of Meerut, Surabhi Pariwar, Navyug Sewa Sansthan & Gramin Vikas Sansthan and banks like Union Bank of India. The entire event reflected the brand values of Brooke Bond Taaza, a strong and refreshing tea that has over the years, provided women a platform to demonstrate their skills and hone their talent, to achieve their aspirations.
