San Diego Soccer Community Invited To Help #GrowTheGame At Major Forum

March 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Soccer Support through its #GrowTheGame San Diego project is proud to announce yet another major event to be added to its already impressive line-up of soccer based activities being celebrated over the weekend of 14 & 15 April.

‘The Future of San Diego Soccer’ forum will be held at the Hall of Champions on Sunday 15 April from 3-5pm and will be an opportunity for clubs, fans, coaches and administrators to come together under one roof and discuss the grassroots of the game and how we can help it realize its potential countywide.

The forum is supported by the San Diego Sports Commission who are known as San Diego’s cornerstone for all sports and sports-related activities.

Soccer Support CEO Ryan Ginard said this forum provided a real opportunity to discuss real outcomes for clubs and fans alike, concentrating on the growth and exposure of the sport in California’s second largest city.

“San Diego has the largest youth market for soccer in the US yet it continues to be overshadowed by our two professional sporting counterparts.

“The Future of San Diego Soccer forum is a chance for participants to network with other clubs, share best practices and voice their ideas and opinions on how we can grow the sport locally” Ginard said.

The forum coincides with all the #GrowTheGame events happening across San Diego, all of which aim to highlight the positives of soccer to communities and help our local clubs become stronger by utilizing this new exposure to attract new members and potential sponsors.

"In the end it’s a simple equation – If we grow the game, we expand the opportunities available for the sport to flourish" Ginard said.
