Follow on Google News | Soccer Community Encouraged To Support Local Talent InitiativeSome local soccer fans have got together to create a tv pilot which showcases the largest youth soccer market in the US - San Diego. The team are now calling on the local soccer community to help crowd fund the project & take it to a broader audience
By: Soccer Support The show is being created by 6 local San Diegans who are producing this project on a 100% volunteer basis. Now in the final stages of filming, project organizers are calling on the support of the San Diego Soccer Community to help raise much needed funds to help with advertising costs. Soccer Star – San Diego Producer, Ryan Ginard hoped that the passion for the sport locally would attract a number of donations through crowd funding website Indiegogo. “If we can get enough soccer fans behind this project, we can make 'Soccer Star San Diego' happen. “We are working towards a modest total of $2000, with donations as small as $1 helping us to make this project a reality. The added bonus is that you also receive rewards and perks for contributing!” Perks include San Diego Flash Soccer Club merchandise and supporters names being shown in the end credits of each episode. If fans can’t donate any funds, posting the projects link on their Facebook and Twitter pages is just as important to attract new. The link to our project can be found at www.indiegogo.com/ Soccer Star – San Diego is a true ‘underdog story’ that is hoped will inspire a lot of our local youth players to follow their dreams of becoming a professional athlete. The show is due to launch in July with 9 episodes broadcast online. For more information please call 858-333-2545. What is Soccer Star - San Diego?
