Better Photos has organised a photo walk around beautiful Buttermere in the English Lake District on Saturday, 28th April, 2012.

The event is free of charge – just bring your camera.

What's a photo walk?

'We meet up, go for an easy stroll, take photos, and meet back at the pub afterwards. It's an opportunity to meet other photo enthusiasts, make friends and capture lovely photographs of the Lake District. If the event is popular, other free photo walks will be organised in other parts of the Lake District.' - says Mark Elliott, who operates Better Photos.

The Route

The route of The Photo Walk will involve a leisurely, clockwise circuit along the shoreline of Buttermere in the Lake District, Cumbria (4.5 miles - estimated stroll of about 2 hours).

What to bring
Travel light, bring the minimum of photography gear (just bring your camera). Stout shoes/walking boots and suitable outdoor clothing are recommended.

Reserve your place by contacting Mark Elliott at Better Photos, and then meet us on the 28th April at 9.30am outside the Fish Inn in Buttermere village.

What if it rains?
The event will be weather dependant. Sorry, but the event wont go ahead if it is raining heavily. We don't want wet cameras. If it is raining lightly please bring a brolly. Fingers crossed for decent weather!

Other Information

Terrain
Footpaths are mostly flat and easy to follow. There is a short section of road, where care is needed. Friends, family members and well behaved dogs are welcome.

Parking
There is pay and display car parking in the village.
