Aros Crystos Awarded “Eco-Conscious Designer” at Hollywood’s Top Designer Show

March 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Hollywood, California – Dolphin ambassador and visionary artist Aros Crystos earned accolades as an Eco-Conscious designer at Hollywood’s Top Designer Awards on March 15th at The Factory in West Hollywood, with celebrity judges Bai Ling, Maurice Rinaldi and Sabrina Parisi.  The show’s creator, Analiza Davidson, commented, “Aros’ intent to share the sacred nature of the ocean’s inhabitants was the key to the event’s focus on One World One Ocean’s campaign to restore the oceans. Aros has dedicated his life and work to awakening people to the dolphin’s loving message through his music, writings and fashion.” Aros Crystos Galactic Orgasm Designs are vibratory frequency clothing featuring ocean and nature motifs and repurposed materials.  

One World One Ocean (http://oneworldoneocean.org)  was founded last year by Academy Award-Nominated filmmaker Greg MacGillivray to use the power of film, television, new media and education initiatives to change the way people see and value the ocean — and motivate action to restore it.  This April, OWOO is releasing its first IMAX film in the campaign, To The Arctic 3D, co-produced with Warner Bros. Pictures, MacGillivray Freeman Films and IMAX Corporation, and narrated by Academy Award Winner Meryl Streep.  Aros, one of six “up and coming” fashion designers competing for “Hollywood’s Top Designer Awards,” did voiceover for To The Arctic 3D and pitched the OWOO cause to the show’s producers, Momentum Entertainment.  Photographer Gabriel Olsen of La Guerre Eternelle (http://www.facebook.com/lgephoto) came to the show to the show just to support the cause. Said Olsen, “I met Aros once at the LA Art show, and like most of you I was invigorated by his humanity. Tonight he was the only designer to get up and not just talk fashion, but to plead for the audience and judges to support clean oceans. The earth is mostly water, so are our bodies, when we respect our oceans. . .we respect ourselves.”

Winner of LA Music Awards “Most Transformational Artist,” Aros is signed to a recording contract with Momentum Records to collaborate with multi-Platinum producer Drew Lane and Grammy winner Tom Trbovich on a project to raise awareness of our connection to the oceans--our tears, blood and sweat taste of sea salt--life on our planet is woven with water. Attendees to the event commented they had never seen such a connection made between fashion and the environment. “What I experienced tonight, and witnessing Aros Crystos clothing line’s debut, was one of the most moving creative experiences that I've ever seen. It was as if I saw the universe transform right before my eyes.  I’m so excited to be working on a music project with this visionary artist” said Drew Lane.
