Less Than Seventeen Days Remain For Kobiphysics To Reach Goal

March 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Artist, Kobina Wright, has less the 17 days remaining to meet her fundraiser goal on Kickstarter.com.  Wright’s Kickstarter launch was created to support the funding of her April 27th art show titled, Kobiphysics: An Art Show.   Her goal is to raise $2500.

The concept of the art show Wright is organizing is based upon a study of formulas created by ancient and modern physicists.  Wright uses the artistic aesthetic of these formulas and melds them with her own various painting styles and techniques.

Wright has also launched a postcard campaign, mailing over 300 postcards about Kobiphysics so far.  The art on the cover of the postcard most often used to promote the art show is from a painting that will actually be featured at the event.  

Backers of Wright’s project are enticed to pledge with incentives ranging from marketing material, with a minimal dollar pledge; to actual paintings from the show with $400 and $500 pledges.  

“I wanted everyone to walk away with something,” Wright says of her incentives.

Though the Kickstarter.com fundraising campaign ends on March 30th, Kobiphysics: An Art Show, will take place on April 27th, from 7 PM to 8:30 PM at the Huntington Beach Central Library, across the hall from the library’s theater.  The address is, 7111 Talbert Ave., Huntington Beach, CA.  

Wright is a California native who earned her degree in Communications from CSUF.  She has created several art series, including, “Fractured,”  “Cali Free” and most recently, “Eleven Twenty-Three Girl.”  Wright has also written several books, including, “50” and “A Crime And A Simplification Of Something Sublime,” the latter includes several of her sketches.  She has performed in theater productions, independent films and commercials.
